ENGINE RUNNING ONLY ON ONE SIDE
Problem - My car is only running on the right bank. I can tell by the obvious lack of power and the fact that the left side exhaust tips expel only cool puffs of air.
Possibility 1 - Spark plug leads are in wrong order on that bank.
Possibility 2 - Failed fuel pump. Check fuel at rails for pressure. Disconnect the hose from the regulator and turn key to accessories. Then, check the fuel pressure. You may want to check the good sides fuel pressure to ascertain whether the bad is working or not.
Possibility 3 - Switch ECUs to see if problem swaps sides. If it does, it is your ECU.
Possibility 4 - Check to see that you are getting spark to each coil.
Possibility 5 - Check the fuel rail to see if you are getting pressure before and after each regulator. Then check your fuel pump.
Possibility 6 - Make sure the alarm is not engaged when it does it shuts down 1/2 engine. Try to arm and disarm the alarm.
Possibility 7 - The immobilizer can shut off the ignition as well as fuel.
Possibility 8 - Check fuel filters are not clogged and clean.
Possibility 9 - Check the phase sensors. The wires have been known to get pulled out of the plug. Make sure the wires are cabled tied up and not hanging loose to get caught on something.
