AIRCONDITIONING DIY REFILL

  1. The airconditioning connections are under the car on the driver side of the engine about 1 foot before the engine. Remove a small triangular diamond shaped panel just next to the rear jacking points.
  2. There are 2 solid steel lines coming out of the airconditioning compressor. Each has a port with a black or coloured cap. Usually these caps are colour coded but Lambo did not do so on their cars. You need the low pressure line, which is the one closer to the front of the car.
  3. Redtek says, connect their hose to the can and then the car and then open the valve. My first attempt failed for 2 reasons. Firstly, I punctured the can early and had the refrigerant leak out (not supposed to leak until you unscrew the valve but their system is a little iffy there. Secondly, I assumed all my refrigerant leaked out due to a leak (Redtek sells various leak stopping products I planned on using). To my surprise the system was still under a lot of pressure so I had to release the pressure by connecting the hose and opening the valve with no can attached. (there was no refrigerant, I had my hand feeling the air come out, not at all cold).
  4. Once I purged the system, I connected the can, started the airconditioning full blast, and opened the valve. After about 5 minutes the can was no longer cold (can empty) and I disconnected it.
  5. Start enjoying the cold airconditioning.

Only attempt this if you are mechanically knowledgeable.

What Our Member's Are Saying

"I have spent hours looking for fixes for my Lambo and here it is in one website. Great value for money and very easy to use." Charles Wigins

"Fantastic concept and the information is very well set out. Every model for the one price is brilliant. I fixed my problem by searching another model." Tyler Mendo

"I have recently sold my Countach but I would like to give a big shout out to the one person who has been collating this information for many years and has made this website a winner. Jason is a handicapped man who is the driving force behind this website. I met Jason and his brother by accident at a car event in Australia. Even though he will never drive a car, he sure knows how to drive the internet. Well done Jason and keep up the good work." Mark W
