ONBOARD COMPUTER NOT WORKING - 2006 E-GEAR
Problem - When I cycle through the functions using the button on the underside of the wiper stalk, the button switches between 2 modes only. Blank screen with gear selection shown at the bottom and a screen showing temperature, miles remaining and gear selection.
Possibility 1 - The onboard computer system was an option and not standard. It became standard in some later models. Many people didn't take that option.
Possibility 2 - The button on the bottom of the stalk is doing what it's supposed to do It only turns it on and off. When you have the computer function on, and you are able to scroll through the readings (which is what the rocker button on the end of the stalk is supposed to be for), then when you hold the button on the bottom of the stalk down. It resets many things like average fuel econ, hours since last reset, average speed and so on.
Possibility 3 - The temperature and miles you are seeing is standard on all Gallardos.
