OIL TEMPERATURE GAUGE NOT READING
Problem - The oil temperature gauge is no longer reading. What do I look for to fix it?
Possibility 1 - Check behind gauge for clean contact and no corrosion. If all fine behind the gauge, check the little wire on the oil temperature sensor unit at the oil sump. The oil temperature sensor looks like a spark plug with a little wire coming out of it. If the wire between the gauge and oil temperature sensor is ok (use multimeter to check), then the gauge or the oil temperature sensor may need replacing. Have them checked before replacing. The sensor is not too expensive if it needs replacing. The gauge can be fixed and parts are not expensive.
