GEAR LEVER WON'T GO INTO GEAR
Problem - When driving, the gear lever won't go into gear. When the clutch is let out, it doesn't return all the way. The master cylinder has been replaced. Clutch has been checked and is fine.
Possibility 1 - Mechanic should have checked the slave cylinder.
Possibility 2 - If the Pedal isn't coming all the way back then the problem is definitely in the rear. The T/O shaft may need lubing (seems very likely) or the pressure plate may be failing (slightly less likely).
Possibility 3 - I have found that pushing down the clutch pedal a few times solved the problem and it goes straight into gear.
Possibility 4 - If the clutch isn't pressed all the way in, it won't go into gear. Happens when the seat is too far back.
