Well, tonight I decided to jump into rebuilding the carbs that nearly led to disaster with the Jalpa. The process is listed below. The hardest part is removing the carbs from the air boxes. You must have patience in order to tackle this job. You only need a handful of tools to do it as well. (13mm wrench and socket and 8mm wrench and a couple screw drivers.

You must have patience in order to tackle this job. You only need a handful of tools to do it as well. (13mm wrench and socket and 8mm wrench and a couple screw drivers.
It is very important to be patient and not rush through this process. The parts are delicate and if bent or broken they will need to be replaced.
All needles and jets need to be removed and cleaned. Make sure to get all the grit out of every area possible.
Make sure to replace the line filter. Again you have to try and clean every little opening. You can see the grit in the filter area.
Finally reassembled.
