RADIATOR (COOLING) FAN - CONSTANTLY ON
Problem - Took the motor out some time ago. Upon replacing the motor and starting, the cooling fans stay on all the time, and the alternator will not start charging till you rev it up a couple time. Then it charges ok. The battery light, lights up when the fans are hooked up also. Everything is wired correctly, relays and fuses seem to be ok. All earthing points ok.
Possibility 1 - Diode is out of the alternator or possibly the voltage regulator is misbehaving.
Possibility 2 - A bad coolant temp sensor will cause the fans to stay on all the time.
Possibility 3 - Check the radiator fan relay and fuses again.
Possibility 4 - Recheck earthing points. Make sure they are a very good, clean connection.
